According to some ex-military and former U.S. government personnel, there have been several UFOs of extraterrestrial origin which have crashed in the United States.
Some say that both recovered space craft and bodies are have been brought -- in secrecy -- to different military bases such as Area 51, which is located in Nevada. The most famous of all these crashes took place in Roswell, New Mexico. Here's a look at some of the earliest UFO crash sites.
Roswell UFO Incident
Probably the most famous of all U.S. UFO crashes is the one that took place near Roswell, New Mexico in July of 1947. On the night of July 2, local townspeople reported seeing a "bright disc-shaped object" flying over Roswell. The next day, ranch manager William Brazel found crash debris across his property.
The military was called in and wreckage was recovered including a thin type of metal that couldn't be dented and beams that appeared to have some form of alien writing on them. While some people report that the bodies of ETs were recovered at this location, others allege that bodies were found at a different location which also had additional wreckage. Also in question is the number of bodies and whether any of them were still alive.
Initially released to the press, the story was recanted and replaced with a story that the so-called downed UFO was actually a weather balloon. This incident is what some people believe to be the beginning of the government UFO cover-up.
Alien Encounters and UFO Crashes in the United States
Roswell wasn't the only location in 1947 where a ship supposedly crashed. In October 1947, an alien space ship is said to have crashed in Paradise Valley, AZ, which is located north of Phoenix. Two small humanoids are reportedly found there. It's said that great lengths were taken to cover up the crash, including changing a main roadway.
Located in Mohave County is Kingman, Arizona. Famous as the hometown of vintage actor Andy Devine, Kingman has another claim to fame. In 1953, it's said that Kingman, AZ was the site of a downed UFO, which impacted the sand of the desert. It's said that the extraterrestrial vehicle was oval and approximately thirty feet in diameter. One body is said to have been recovered; it was described as dark complected, very slender, with extremely long arms.
New Mexico UFO Crash Site
Roswell isn't the only crash site reported in New Mexico. In 1962 it's been reported that a UFO crashed in northern New Mexico. Two bodies are said to have been recovered and taken to Holloman AFB, along with the craft. The craft was reportedly dismantled, with parts sent to various research facilities, including Los Alamos Laboratories.
This is merely the beginning of numerous UFO crashes which are said to have taken place in the United States. Cloaked in secrecy, there's no end to the number of crash sites that could exist, but believers say that due to government and military cover-ups, details like the number of incidents involving downed UFOs and the details of these crashes remain a tightly guarded secret.
