Built in 1927, the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel has been a favorite among the who's who of Tinseltown. Throughout the years, many famous movie stars and celebrities have stayed here. In fact, some have enjoyed it so much that even after death, they've remained.
The Hollywood Roosevelt
Rich in history, the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel seems to be a hotbed for paranormal activity. Both guests and employees have reported the presence of ghosts or spirits. Odd things have been seen in the mirrors. Lights will turn and off by themselves.
Many apparitions have been seen. Some have been famous and some of them haven't. However, the Roosevelt does appear to house some of Hollywood's most famous actors from bygone eras. One of the most famous is Marilyn Monroe.
Hollywood Ghosts
Marilyn Monroe actually lived at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel for about six months in room #229. Her spirit has reportedly been observed on numerous occasions. She's not the only famous Hollywood ghost said to reside there. The ghosts of Clark Gable and Carole Lombard have also allegedly been seen.
Many paranormal investigations have taken place here with different psychics connecting with the spirits of the hotel. Two of the most haunted rooms are reportedly room # 928, which is believed to have a lot of positive energy, and room #213, which is located near the pool area.
Haunted Places to Stay
If traveling to the Hollywood area and interested in staying at a haunted hotel, a request can be made to stay in one of the haunted rooms at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. However, this is only one of the haunted locations in southern California.
